John Cheadle is a jazz saxophonist, pianist, composer, and Seattle, Washington native. He grew up studying jazz with local jazz legend Jay Thomas and continued on to the New England Conservatory for jazz performance. There he studied under renown jazz teachers John McNeil, Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Morris and others. Since graduating in 2011, Cheadle has taken his jazz roots and applied it other genres, primarily electronic music. He started performing in the corners of the basement scene in Boston playing with various combinations of other like-minded jazz musicians, playing completely improvised sets on digital instruments. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY where he continues to compose electronic music, pushing and pulling the boundaries of the genre.
